This is another potato side dish for snooty eater, or also known as fontina scalloped potatoes. Bring the potatoes and milk to a boil in a large sauce pot. Reduce heat and simmer for 10 minutes, then drain potatoes at the same time reserving liquid.
In a skillet, heat olive oil and butter. Add the necessary ingredients. Once you have pulled those potatoes out from the 375 degrees oven, the potatoes are holding their heat so well. Combine bread, cracker crumbs with the parmesan cheese and sprinkle over the potatoes, place back in the oven to bake for 35-45 minutes, let them to have a good 20-30 minute rest period before serving, until bubbly and browned.
